Biography & Artist's Statement

Over the years member Michelle Christman has given us much joy and entertainment with her felted critters. A keen observer of nature, she translates the wildlife in her backyard habitat as well as some of her domesticated furry friends into charming, life-like, and technically flawless renderings in wool. Michelle is a featured artist at Indigenous in O'Bryonville, where she had a recent trunk show, and she has done many commissions. Be sure to explore the exhibit binder to learn more about her life and times and to see where her artworks have appeared in professional journals.

Michelle will be in attendance at the December holiday party to chat informally with us about her methods of working in felt and her sources of inspiration. She often says that some observation of the world or feature of her day makes her "giddy" and we can share in that remarkable happy spirit with this lively exhibit.
