Spinning on a Great Wheel

Skills needed: No spinning experience required.
Try your hand at spinning on a great wheel. You can use our wheels or bring your own. We will cover history, differences in wheels and parts, tension and adjustment, care and maintenance, and minor repairs. You will learn to spin on the various wheels that the guild has.
Supplies to Bring:
- Bring your wheel for a tune up or use one of our wheels. If you are bringing your own wheel, please contact the instructor at masterspinner1@gmail.com so she can plan the class space.
- $5 materials fee payable to the instructor at start of class. Cash or check only accepted.

Pat has been spinning and weaving since the late 1960’s. She has been certified by Handweavers Guild of America as a Master Spinner, having completed both levels of the program. She frequently demonstrates spinning, weaving and dyeing at historical venues and pioneer festivals. She has been teaching all types of spinning at the Weaver’s Guild since the late 1980’s.
Depending on the CDC guidelines for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.
Fees are non-refundable. Your fee will only be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
