Abstract Painting on a Shopping Tote

Learn about abstract art from local professional artist and Guild member, Debbie Canntella. After you prepare your bag, she’ll introduce you to the elements of design and composition in abstraction. Then you’ll put your new knowledge to work designing and painting either a heavy canvas bag or cotton tote. There will be several sizes to choose from.
Materials fee includes:
- Cotton tote or heavy canvas bag (Several sizes to choose from.)
- Jacquard textile paint
- Textile markers
- Pencils
- Paper for sketching
- Paint brushes
- Class handouts on design
Students should bring beverages as well as their lunch or order from a delivery service. A refrigerator and microwave are available. You may also want to bring an apron, smock, or other protective clothing.

Your fee will be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
