Beginning Spinning 101
Saturdays, September 23, 30, and October 7.10:00am – 3:00pm

Spinning is a relaxing way to obtain yarns for use in weaving, knitting and crocheting. In this course you will learn the basics- fiber preparation, drafting, spinning wheel mechanics, parts and maintenance of a spinning wheel, and spinning on a wheel. The course includes an introduction to several fibers and a discussion of the various types of wheels. You will learn how to ply yarn and how to finish the yarn you have spun. Use our wheels, and/or bring your wheel for a checkup or tune up. Bring a lunch. Microwave and refrigerator are available.
Supplies to Bring:
- Bring your spinning wheel, or use one of the guild’s wheels
- $15 materials fee payable on the first day of class. Cash or checks only will be accepted.
- Your lunch and beverages

Depending on the CDC guidelines for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.
Fees are non-refundable. Your fee will only be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
