Fiber Basics: Textiles Demystified
For Weavers, Spinners, and Textile Artists

Have you ever wondered why a fiber behaves the way it does? Want to know which fibers and yarns can be mixed without problems? What are the “new age” fibers and how can they be used? We will discuss the new fibers on the market and how they fit into the world of textiles. You will learn about fiber variations and characteristics that affect spinning, weaving, wearability, and fiber care. You will learn to identify fibers using the microscope and other methods.

Your fee will be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. If a student cancels for any reason, credit card and Eventbrite processing fees are not refundable.
