Friendship Bracelets 101

Friendship bracelets are way cooler now than when I first learned to make one in 1986. That first attempt used only one knot and created a continuous diagonal striped design. It was pretty enough but kind of boring. In this class you will learn that first knot as well as three more that will allow infinite design possibilities. You will also learn to read the design charts that are found on popular bracelet design websites. By the end of the class you will have completed your first simple bracelet.
Materials provided by student:
- Clipboard OR macrame board OR clipboard sized foamcore board
- 2-3 T-pins or sturdy straight pins if using macrame or foamcore board
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Out of town students (or those unable to get supplies from the instructor) may supply their own threads in the specified colors. See below.
Materials provided by instructor:
- **If desired, students can purchase a $3.00 kit with the threads used in class picked up at the Guild house on Wednesday, February 10 between 11am-12pm OR for $3.50 if mailed to your home address. Payment for mailed kits can be either by Venmo or Paypal directly to the instructor. .
- ***Out of town students can use embroidery floss, carpet warp, or perle cotton in the these four colors: white, blue, green, yellow.
- Emailed handouts for student to print out at home.
After you register, the instructor will send an email with additional class details and how to join the Zoom event.
Three registrations are required for this class to be held. No refunds unless the class is canceled or the date changed.
