Join us for honoring the fall season with natural color harvested with gratitude, right out of the Guild house’s dye garden using a bundle-dyeing technique. We’ll explore the colors that come from a variety of plants, the benefits of using natural dye, the process of bundle-dyeing/eco printing, and socialize with old and new friends amidst the garden. Participants will each walk away with their own botanically-dyed linen table runner to use for their own fall get-togethers and celebrations for years to come!
Materials students need to supply:
- Please bring your craziest/coziest/most meaningful mug, a conversation piece if you will – we will provide hot-spiced cider and herbal tea to sip on while outside to put it to use.
- Dress for the weather as we will be outside, wearing layers as approriate and garden-worthy shoes are a must!
- Bring a folding/camp chair to sit on.
- $25 materials fee, payable to the instructor, to cover one prepared (scoured and mordanted) 100% linen table runner (14″ x 36″).
