Learn how to create life-like artificial flowers.

Dates: Mon July 14, 9a1pm – 5pm. Sales end: July 7. Ticket: $50. Instructor: Abby Langdon. Materials fee: $15-$30. Skills Needed: Must be comfortable working around hot plates and heated irons. Class Limit: 6. Class Location: 1st Floor.

Have you ever wondered how artificial flowers appear so life-like? The secret is in molding the fabric with hot irons. Join textile artist Abby Langdon as she shares her collection of antique iron molds as well as her modern electric tools to mold textiles (such as denim, leather, silk, and wool) into flowers and succulents. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives are available. Instructor will supply all equipment and materials

Supplies to Bring:

  • Your favorite pair of sharp scissors
  • reading classes if needed
  • $15 – $30 material fee, depending on what materials you choose to mold. Fee payable to the instructor at start of class. Cash or check only accepted.
  • snack and beverage if desired

If you are not feeling well, please contact the instructor instead of coming to the class. On a case-by-case basis, we may be able to reschedule you into a future class or provide a make-up lesson. Ticket fees are not normally refunded.

Depending on the CDC Guidelines for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.

Unless specifically stated, Weavers Guild classes are designed for ages 18 and above. On a case-by-case basis, a minor may be permitted to register for this class but must be accompanied by a registered adult who agrees to assist the minor during the class. Contact Lorain Pettit at lorain.pettit@gmail.com for permission before registering a minor in this class.

Fees are non-refundable. Your fee will only be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
