Finger loop braiding is a fun, easy to learn technique for making decorative multi-strand braids. This style of braiding has been used around the world for thousands of years. Finger loop braiding uses closed loops held on the fingers and requires no equipment. One can make shoelaces, lanyards, flat bands, drawstrings, cordage, textile jewelry – any object that requires a narrow band or cord.
In this introductory course you will be working with five loops and learn to make braids that are square, flat, divided and triangle in shape creating several multi-colored patterns.
