Introduction to Tablet Weaving

Tablet weaving is a centuries old technique of weaving sturdy narrow bands with a multitude of uses. There are several ways to create patterns with this technique. In this introductory class, students will learn one of the simplest techniques – threaded in pattern. We will cover the basics of reading a pattern draft, measuring a warp, threading the cards, starting and ending wefts, and managing selvedges. This is an introductory class and no weaving experience is required.
Supplies to Bring:
- scissors and note-taking materials.
- a beverage and a snack.
- $15 materials fee payable to the instructor at start of class. Cash or check only accepted.

Depending on the CDC guidelines for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.
Fees are non-refundable. Your fee will only be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
