Questions about this class? Contact the instructor, Caren Cohen at beadedflorist@gmail.com.

Caren Cohen has been beading for over 30 years and collecting beads since the 1970s and is experienced in bead embroidery, off loom and loom techniques. I’ve taught shibori ribbon with bead embroidery, Dorset buttons, and ribbon flowers and leaves at the Guild.

I’ve always loved creating. As a child it was macrame, beading, crewel, rug hooking, and more. As a teenager it was copper enameling. In college I explored weaving and other fiber techniques such as basketry and spinning. When I had my daughter in 1988 it became cumbersome to weave so I was hooked back into beading again. I started with beaded brick stitch earrings and went on to combine beads with weaving. From there I began to explore more complex and varied bead techniques.

If you are not feeling well, please contact the instructor instead of coming to the class. On a case-by-case basis, we may be able to reschedule you into a future class or provide a make-up lesson. Ticket fees are not normally refunded.

Depending on the CDC Guidelines for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.

This class is designed for ages 16 and above.
