Spinning on a Great Wheel

$40 + $5 materials fee, payable to the instructor
Experience level: Must be abot ro spin a consistent yarn on a spindle or treadle wheel.

Great wheel, wool wheel, wheel driven spindle – all about the wheel that our ancestors used to make their clothing and textiles. Learn about the differences in the wheels, mechanics, adjustments, and accelerator heads. You will learn the technique of drafting off of a horizontal spindle and learn to spin on several types of wheels. This class is for spinners who can create a consistent yarn on a spindle or treadle wheel.

For everyone’s safety, you are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and to wear a mask when inside the Guild House.
Your fee will be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
