Thanks to all who attended our annual Fiber Arts Sale this past weekend. If you missed it, come to Second Saturdays at the Guild on December 14! We’ll have a smaller selection of fiber art on sale, a fiber arts demo and a Make It Take It craft (for a small materials fee). December 14 from 10-2!

Shawl; Eishet Noach. The wife of Noah, who is mentioned in the story a few times, but not by name. She is a woman of Valor. She was the strength, the comfort, the partner alongside her husband. "Eshet-chayil mi yimtza v'rachok mip'ninim mikrah" A woman of valor who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels.
The muted colors represent a cloudy day, leaves from when there were trees before the rain, and the feather down the middle is from the dove. This Shawl is made from 100% linen. The fabric was hand dyed, stenciled, and painted. As with items that are made by hand, there may be some irregularities. $250

Rigid Heddle Study Group met today at the Guild ho

Rigid Heddle Study Group met today at the Guild house to direct warp their looms for a color and weave sampler project. We are spending a few months studying color and weave effects on the rigid heddle loom. Group members will weave the sampler before we meet again in November. We’ll then expand into designing a personal project utilizing color and weave effects with the sampler as a reference tool for patterns.

Try out a bit of dyeing using fiber reactive dyes on a canvas tote. A limited number of colors will be available for you to create a fall or Halloween themed tote. Cost is $10. Dyeing is messy, please wear appropriate clothing.

Our Make It, Take It features a needle felted elf for the holidays.
You will start with an elf body . Add hair, make a suit and put items into arms. The activity should take about 45 minutes, so please arrive before 1 to make one.
Cost is $10.00 for materials.
Ages 16 and up only will be permitted due to the sharp needles used in needle felting.

This past weekend I had a blast teaching a Natural Dye Workshop called, Exploring Botanical Colors at the @weaversguildcincinnati. We gathered flowers/plants from their garden and natural dye them on a variety of fibers, with the bundle process.

I will be teaching another one of these workshops, on Saturday August 17, from 10-1pm. If you are interested check out my link in the bio or contact me✨
